This was a pretty big week. I took a look at x 3 books, and of those 3 were #1’s, 3 were done by home run hitting artists. I neglected to consider store variants for this list, and of course there is my normal too entertaining to pass up.

A little late to this press release but it’s still worthy of mentioning as this was one of the better Image titles I think in the past 5 years, particularly for an ongoing Image title. You don’t see many Image and indie titles making it this far along the release road.. This is one book I’d love to see adapted in a kick ass long running television show.

Many thanks to Admiral Snackbar (AKA the honorable LAND-HO! Calrissian / r2-Detour) for sharing this one with us.
Here are a handful of covers I’ve been wanting to mention for a while. Some are really cool and a couple are just strange. Hope you enjoy. Continue reading “Admiral Snackbar’s Curious Covers”
Welcome once again to my spec and my drek and Happy Halloween Eve.. if there is such a thing. I pick what I think will be winners, not only if you make money by flipping but winners as in either a great read or just awesome art.
Then there’s the pesky drek, the comic you should avoid altogether or not fall into the buying every variant trap.

This weeks FOC pick goes to a Marvel book I think will have some people talking.
We shouldn’t just collect or flip books, we should also read them. A good story can make your purchase well worth the money spent if you ask me. After all, we buy books to read for entertainment right? Even if you can’t flip them, reading is just as rewarding.

Greetings my Comics Heating Up family. Going to keep this short and sweet. I am loving Watchmen on HBO, all the CW shows, Riverdale and Batwoman are amazing, as is the Flash. Flamebird could use some serious cosplay love as could Betty Cooper & bronze age Vicky Vale. Scott Snyders JLA is amazing as is Sharky the Bounter Hunter. Now lets make some money with comics cause you can’t teach that. Continue reading “Blind Adam’s Hidden Gems Vol. 103”
I am a big fan of Scout Comics, have been very vocal about them, and the books they put out. Their comics cover a ton of genres and have had some spec hits lately (especially with titles that have been optioned.) They have a new book coming out titled Snow White Zombie Apocalypse coming out that hits for me as it is a horror title. Artist Carla Cohen is doing an exclusive cover that is worth checking out.
