An update on the charity auctions I ran to raise money for Larime Taylor’s wife Sylv came to around $90. So huge thanks to the bidders and buyers. Stay tuned, we’re hoping to have some awesome blank variant sketches done by Larime to raise more money, so we can save his wife.

Last week I spent way too much money. The winner was Straightjacket #1 from Amigo Press which I almost picked but I knew Anthony was going to pick it due to his love of horror. On a side note, Straightjacket #2

Last week was a big week. Lots of new Marvel titles (reboots that is.. Marvel loves #1’s) and we’re getting more this week. It’s going to be another big week for us comic collectors and speculators. Lots of new stuff, lots of variants to chase.

Wednesday, the best day of the week and this Wednesday is a big release day. Several new reboots in the Marvel Universe along with a new Dr. Strange ongoing from one of my favorite writers, Jason Aaron. I’ve also been fortunate to have smaller pickup weeks the past few weeks but this week, my budget is gonna get blown out so honestly, I have no budget for this week.

Another small week for myself and last week I managed to only go $10 over my budget. I know what your thinking, why is Poyo on a budget? Well, I’ve just been buying too much that I intend to sell but then never sell cause I end up liking the comics too much. So I’m trying to cut back some, the piles of comics are getting hard to manage and quite frankly, my policy of reading everything I buy is getting even harder to manage.

Force Friday has passed.. where all the nerds rushed out at midnight to gobble up all the good action figures to inflate the prices on eBay only to make us normal people who like to sleep have to just wait a few weeks until the prices come back down to real world prices. (Yeah, I’m a little bitter.. all I wanted was a Captain Phasma action figure.. ).

I survived the beach vacation without losing any limbs or getting bitten. Even avoided the blue crabs we were catching from pinching me.
