George Romero's Empire of the Dead to be a TV show

empire-of-the-dead
George Romero has long been considered the father of the modern zombie genre. His Night of the Living Dead has spawned a ton of sequels as well as homages and imitators. His comic, Empire of the Dead, was done as the sequel that couldn’t be filmed as it would be too expensive. Well, hold on, because now it seems that Empire of the Dead will be adapted as a TV show. Divinity #1 Fifth Printing to be allocated

Divinity #1 is on fire. With the regular cover selling for many multiples of its cover price, and the 2nd and 3rd prints also going for more than cover, I have been picking them up at shops on the sly and selling them for a nice return. (Do not want to tip my hand when it comes to some shops on what I am buying as they will pull the books off the shelf.) The fifth printing of the popular Divinity #1 is being allocated from Diamond and may be hard to find. Continue reading “Divinity #1 Fifth Printing to be allocated”

I think I have made it pretty well known I am a huge horror fan. Toys, movies, comics, t-shirts, and even the music I listen to (love Rob Zombie, Misfits, Horrorpops, Creepshow, and a ton of other bands with a horror twist.) So when John Lepper, from www.theblood-shed.com, mentioned to me that he was trying to get funding for a slasher book called ‘We Kill the Dead’ I had to put it up in support. I have spotlighted a ton of Kickstarter and Indiegogo books and do love Indie Comics. Continue reading “'We Kill The Dead' Slasher Comic going for World Record”

Lantern City Coming to Netflix?

Ok follow along for a moment. There was once a proposed TV show called Bruce Boxleitner’s Lantern City. Bruce was going around the convention circuit promoting the concept for the show, as well as the website www.lanterncitytv.com. There is also an IMDB page for Lantern City TV Show, a steampunk show produced by LeitCraft Productions (Bruce Boxleitner’s company.) Then, last week, came the Lantern City #1 comic book.
Seems like there might actually be something going on with this. Continue reading “Lantern City Coming to Netflix?”

Agent Poyo's Picks of the week for 5/20/15

Another week.. another new comic book day, the best day of each week where I show up late for work as I make my daily rounds into the local shops heading towards work, but then spend more time commenting at CHU rather than working on things I should work on (hope the boss isn’t reading this).
Anyways.. on with the picks! Continue reading “Agent Poyo's Picks of the week for 5/20/15”
