Remember the 80’s?!
We all know that what old is cool again and if it aint retro is sucks. Well the toy market seems to follow suit. Not going back but seems like everything this week was GI Joe or Transformers. And looking at the summer box office one wouldn’t be far off. (Movies are currently early 90’s). Plus it was a light week with everyone celebrating the Independence of this great nation. I took a much-needed vacation last week so forgive me for playing catch up. Before we get serious a quick side note. So we had Bush and Clinton running for the White House, Jurassic World is #1 in theaters and Terminator is out next month. You would think it’s 1992 all over again. There is only one thing missing, Furbys! (Yes, I know they are ’98) That’s right; Furbys are back and in demand just like back in the day. Now add the Internet and they are all kinds of creepy. I didn’t take everyone serious last July when people were telling me to stock up for Holidays. I have kids of my own and we aren’t going to make that mistake twice. Big thanks goes to MTV News for giving us a first look at wave 2 of the Arkham Knight action figures from DC Collectibles. This wave we get Commissioner Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman. You will have to wait until November though to add these to Batman, Harley, Scarecrow, Arkham Knight and the Gamestop exclusive Red Hood. The Walking Dead TV Series 8 just went up for pre-sale today. Looks like they are back to uneven allotments in cases, short packing certain characters. One character it doesn’t look like they are backing off of is good ole Rick. Series 8 rolls out with yet another version of him. I must say though, Todd hit it out of the park with this series.

We might be beating a dead horse but Avengers: Age of Ultron is going to be the biggest movie of the decade. It already grossed just over $200 million this past weekend in only 55% of the international markets, and that’s not including China. That said it might be a good idea to start grabbing everything Age of Ultron.

There is also some detailed information about Batman The Dark Knight Returns 1:12 Scale Action Figure. No one will deny Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns is one of the best Batman stories ever told. Hasbro is launching a second line of Guardians of the Galaxy to the Marvel Legends line up. This set was announced at SDCC last year and is based on the comic book versions of our cosmic heroes. There is no build a figure. There is no hunting them down at various big box stores. They all are sold together in a pretty display box and they can only be picked up here (or be at the mercy of eBay and/or Amazon). They went up today and are available now for pre-order. Enterainment Earth plans to get these to you by August. Get in on the first wave because with an exclusive like this, it could be one and done. I just wanted to drop by with some new Pops I noticed go up this week, as well as some that came off the truck. (These might have been up already for pre-order on other sites, I just noticed here) There are tons of Pops for everyone’s taste constantly hitting shelves so I know I am missing some.
