A new Image book hits stands this coming Wednesday from John Layman (CHEW
, Eleanor and the Egret) and artist Afu Chan. I’m a sucker for sci-fi so this one had been on my radar, not because I enjoy Layman’s writing (see my handle, I’m a big CHEW fan apparently).
Also Eleanor and the Egret was an awesome read which I highly recommend. Don’t think it got the credit it deserves.

Playing catch up. You likely already seen these and this one in particular but here’s another book that’s got my interest that hits stands soon.
I meant to get this out sooner as this is a book I’ve been anticipating since I read about it in previews.
Sometimes art alone can tell the story without a lot of dialogue. When I got an advance review of Cemetary Beach that hits store shelves September 12th, it was one of those books I had to check out immediately. This is one of those books that the art alone makes it a worthy book. Warren Ellis writing doesn’t hurt either.
Cullen Bunn is no doubt a master writer of horror and suspense comics. With his hit series Harrow County, he also brought us Regression while writing heavily for Marvel currently and in the past, his latest book is Cold Spots out from Image Comics with artist Mark Torres
