Quick Spoilers: Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #33

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur has been one of the most entertaining reads coming out from Marvel, for me, for a while. I blame Mel for turning me on to this book. It has also been a pretty consistent spec pic. A few of the recent issues have popped up in value and have been great quick flips. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #33 seems to be one people may be chasing come Wednesday. It features a new character that might be of interest.

This post contains spoilers, if you do not mind spoilers, read on. Click the spoiler warning for the redacted image. The accompanying text is not spoiler protected, so do not read on if you do not want to see the spoilers.

Things I Like and Don’t Like for the Week of July 25th, 2018

This has been a fabulous week so far. Not only am I writing this on vacation (Anthony told me I had to or he was going to slash my salary in half. What’s half of zero?) but all the news out from SDCC has been great news for the comic book industry.

Blind Adam’s Hidden Gems Vol. 84

Greetings my Comics Heating Up family. Thank you for reading this each and every week (or whenever Tony puts it up for me.) Tony, thank you for being my friend and for giving me this platform express myself. Thank you all for the friendship, encouragement, advice, and support. I love you all. Before we make some money on comics, I have some thoughts and a request. I will start with the request, as I am trying to accomplish one of my holy grails. If anyone can help me get tickets for the 2019 San Diego Comic Con, that would be great. I want to attend SDCC one year before I go totally blind. So 2019 is the year I would like to do this. If any can help, let me know.

This weeks reads of the week were Tony Stark Iron Man #2, Batman #51, Justice League #4, and recent issues of Duck Tales. I am addicted to the Adult Swim app and black dominate is a great show. Now let’s make the money with some comics cause you can’t teach that. Continue reading “Blind Adam’s Hidden Gems Vol. 84”

One Year Later: Spec Review for 7/19/17

What up CHUllectors!?! Shawn B. the One Year Later Investigator, back with another One Year Later round up, where we take a look at some of the comics that Anthony, Mel, and Poyo specced on one year ago. Their specs turn out to be quick flips, slow burns, straight up misses, straight up winners and on and on. Sometimes they spec with their hearts out of their passion for comics. Sometimes they spec based on data. And sometimes they spec based off the word on the street. Either way, all their specs appeal to a few or many collectors whether it is due to them having similar taste in writing or art, or just an opportunity for a collector to flip a book and make money to “support their habit”. So, this is our weekly chance to look back at how some of our buys from a year ago are doing today. Continue reading “One Year Later: Spec Review for 7/19/17”
