Diamond Comics Advance Reorder list for 5/9/14

The Diamond Comics Advanced Reorder List is a fantastic speculator tool. It shows the books that retailers are scrambling to order more copies of before the final order cut off. These are being reordered due to a hot first issue that sold out, a new series, a story line people are digging, spec talk on blogs and message boards, or just chatter in the shop. What ever the reason, here are the comics shops are trying to get more of.

Hey Gang,
FCBD was a blast. Waited for a hour to get into one shop, the owner claiming this year was insanity, last year no waits and this year a line-up that spanned up the stairs, into and around the shop! Crazy.
I did manage to grab everything that I wanted except Uber #0 and The Hip-Hop Anthology, due to limits. Although message boards were raving about the over-sized Street Fighter, in my area(s) it was Rocket Raccoon #1 saw heaviest demand. Two LCS were totally tapped out when I got in at 12pm. Kids just couldn’t seem to get enough of RR! In my observation, the second most sought out comic was probably the GoTG issue, and rounding out in 3rd place, was the Mouse Guard Hardcover, which IMO, was a totally remarkable FCBD giveaway. Clone first appearance spec

This one comes to us from our friend Topher at www.investcomics.com. He dropped this little gem in the message section and I wanted to spotlight it.
Some people hate this kind of spec, the first appearance via a preview, but this is a good one because it is a Walking Dead book. We all know that Clone has been picked up for a syfy channel tv show.  Whether  it makes it to air is another story, but spec-ing on  on the first appearance may not be such a bad idea.

These books could be follow up books to a hot #1, a return of a favorite character, or the next issue in an interesting story line. What ever the reasons these are the books that retailers want.
