Death in Secret Empire #0: A Quick Spoiler
Secret Empire #0 is out tomorrow.
What is a Marvel event without a death? Secret Empire has at least one death in the midst of all the chaos going on in the issue. This one seems fitting since it is a character that Nick Spencer created, and since he is writing the event series. (Please not that while images are obscured, the accompanying text isn’t. Only proceed if you don’t mind spoilers.) Continue reading “Death in Secret Empire #0: A Quick Spoiler”

Greetings to my Comics Heating Up and Awesomesauce families. Thank you all for reading this each and every week. I am have some really awesome stuff coming up and when the time is right I will fill you all in the details. Thank you for the friendship, encouragement, advice, especially during the last six months . I love you guys and am so blessed to have you all in my life.
Before we make some money on some comics, I would like to give a few opinions and assessments on a few things. First off, Wrestle-mania 33 was very enjoyable and the WWE network is well worth the ten bucks a month. The third season of Rick and Morty was one of the best cartoons I have ever seen on Adult Swim, and can anyone explain the current prices of Rick and Morty #1-6? crazysauce! Batman Dark Knight III The Master Race #8 was a fun read, odd to say, and the Flintstones #7 and Green Lantern/Space Ghost were my reads of the week. On a side note, why is it so damn difficult to find Pop Rock candy in the stores?
Now, lets make some money on some comics, cause you can’t teach that. Continue reading “Blind Adam's Hidden Gems Vol. 48”

Alana's Weekend Specs: The Return
Hey CHUniverse, Welcome back to Weekend Specs!!! After a 7 month hiatus of no comic book collecting I’m back home to comicsheatingup.net to pass on some future TV and movie comic book specs. After the recent assault of store exclusive covers and Indy comic movie options I had to take a break from my passion for collecting comics. To be honest there is absolutely no space for new comics in my house, nor do I need much to make my collection feel more complete to me. When it comes to writing about upcoming movies and tv comic connections (which I love to do) you can only go so far before you run out of material. If you’ve read my past articles you know we have done complete checklists for movies that won’t be out for years and once you get so far in the future for comic spec info it gets hard to come up with new accurate specs without just making stuff up. So a break was needed and now I have returned, just like a few of my favorite comic book TV shows Outcast and iZombie. This week I’m going to focus on some returning movies and TV shows specs, starting with Suicide Squad 2. Lets jump in!!!

Picks of the Week One Year Ago Today!
Yearly Review – 4/13/16
Hey CHU crew!! Back again with another check in on specs from ONE YEAR AGO TODAY!
Thanks for all the great feedback from last week’s first posting. It definitely motivates me to keep these coming. And from last week’s post I unexpectedly became a Grizzly Shark fan. (editors note: told ya it was a great book -Anthony)
This week I wanted to lay out what specs from a year ago I choose to post each week. I try to keep AMP’s (Anthony, Mel, Poyo) personal opinions out. If they are a fan of an ongoing series it doesn’t mean they are advising anyone to buy it for potential value increase. They are just recommending something with bad ass art they are into or just a good read that they like. And in this country, we don’t judge people on their opinions…. wait……here at CHU we don’t judge people on their opinions……wait…here at CHU we will do our very best to not judge people too harshly on their opinions. So basically, I try to only include AMP specs where they show signs of recommending the issue due to a possible value increase and/or quick flip potential. Also keep in mind that though the value may not be up a year later, chances are it could have been flipped quickly for a profit and/or still has a chance to increase down the road.
That being said, let’s get to it! Continue reading “Picks of the Week One Year Ago Today!”
