Got a good tip from Larry from Larry’s Comics about a book I have mentioned a couple of times, Uncanny X-Men #13 which features a blue skinned, red haired, clawed Wolverine looking guy. Larry has long been the king of speculation, he used to write the speculation bible, ‘Larry’s Comics Market Report’ every week for quite a while. As of yesterday, The Other Dead #1 has officially sold out. This is IDW’s zombie animal book, that was a really good read. We had spotlighted this book previously as there were a couple of things of interest with it. First, there was the Obama Variant cover, holding guns (one of which I am sure would be considered an assault weapon.) Two, it was supposed to come out on September 11th, but customs held it to “spray for moths.” Three, Kevin Eastman of ‘Teen Age Mutant Ninja Turtles’ fame did a subscription variant cover featuring, of all things, turtles.

The Diamond Comics Advanced reorder list is a speculator’s hand book. It gives what comics have been reordered in advanced of final order cut off. These books are ones that had a first issue that did well, have hype behind them, are getting blog and message board coverage, or are getting chatted about in the shops. For whatever reason, these are the books to keep an eye out for.

The response to the signed books was overwhelming and I sold through the batch I had signed by Kurtis Wiebe (Peter Panzerfaust) and Roc Upchurch. People have been asking me if they are still available. Third Eye Comics, the store that hosted the event, has made available to me and the blog readers, signed copies they had gotten. If you do buy it now, the books are $14.95 shipped for the first copy and $10 each additional copy. Please wait to be invoiced so you get the discount. Mke sure you mention the blog when you request an invoice for 1 or more copies.

update: I have four copies left and the litho has sold.
I had sold a few of these on pre-order and had a couple of people who said they were interested but didn’t end up getting them. I have 8 copies of Rat Queen #1 signed by Kurtis Wiebe and Roc Upchurch still available. Hit me up at apopcomics@gmail.com if you are interested. I also have a signed lithograph print available. There were only 30 of these made, and were produced just for the signing. The 30 prints were broken down between each of the four characters so there are less than 8 of each character made.
