This is a great new series. A slow build up so I’m anticipating great things from this series.
This is a new number one coming out from Image Comics with Ales Kot writing about the Vietnam War. As a war story junkie, it’s on the check out list as I have yet to read the full issue, from the preview pages I’ve gathered here for you it’s promising.
Brubaker and Phillips are a dream team when it comes to storytelling. Brubaker is the master narrative writer while Phillips gritty dark and heavy outline approach does what he does best from pane to pane.

Yes, it’s Chu, the acronym for this site and yes, coincidentally the guy who runs this site is named Tony. But here’s your sneak peek preview I promised of the next chapter spun directly out of the beloved Chew from the mind of John Layman.
So DC put out a DC Previews that has spoiler pages for a bunch of their books coming out in the coming weeks. The first one is Batman #94 where it seems this could be the identity reveal of The Designer.
Mercy #3 hits stands tomorrow and this is one of my own favorite titles coming out of Image currently. Amazing story and artwork. You really got to hand it to creators who can draw and write.
Dead Body Road was a great read a few years back. Now comes the next story in the series which I have some high hopes for. Justin Jordan rarely disappoints though.

Something is making the Distorted go insane. Everywhere in the world, there is someone different, special, cursed, who is losing their mind right now. They are extraordinary, dangerous, and must be kept under control.

That Texas Blood is a new book I’ve been anticipating since first seeing the initial press release. And now I’ve been given an advanced review copy which I’ll say is a slow build but I definitely want to see where this story is heading.

The first volume of Nailbiter was a great read. So this new volume is on the must pick up and read list. Nailbiter would make a great Netflix or other streaming show if you ask me.

Seems I got a hold of a lot of previews to review so that means I share the love with you all with some sneak peeks.
This was a new title and book I read the solicitation and didn’t think I’d enjoy as much as I did.
Scout Comics apparently was busy during this lockdown, still pumping out a lot of new titles that really have grabbed my attention.
It Eats What Feeds it is one of those new titles hitting shelves in June and here’s a sneak peek preview. I dove into this title with zero anticipation and ended up really enjoying it, being an advanced review copy of the entire 3 issue mini-series. I really enjoyed the interior artwork as well.

Everglade Angels is a suspense thriller that’d I call a new age Stand by Me and Scream mashup. Minus the dead body seeking adventure from the group, this follows a group of girls from the high school softball team setting out on a party adventure without parents to their last game in Miami.

Hey YO! CHU Fam! What’s going on?
Well, it has been a while. Actually a long while. I have been wanting to write a couple articles up on here, but alas my hectic schedule does not allow me to sit down in front of a computer as often as I wish I could. I have had to readjust some of my priorities in life and been reflecting on somethings that matter in my life. People, impermanence, lack of attachments. With all the things going on in the world, and having some ACTUAL spare time, I did want to write up a quick review on a book which I had a pleasurable time to read several weekends ago. I love original graphic novels and since I missed my weekly trades picks this week, I figured I’d give everyone a sneak peek preview of the new Bog Bodies Graphic Novel coming out from Image Comics in April.

Welcome to another edition of Advance Reviews before Final Order Cutoff. What an interesting week it has been. Seems the only thing on peoples mind is Punchline, and who can blame them? S/he is a hot topic right now and making the speculators who flip quickly some decent profit. So lets dive into these quick and brief reviews and see whats in store for us this week for books on FOC.
Stealth is a new Skybound series from the creative minds of Robert Kirkman and Marc Silvestri. With a deal already in place for Universal (Lee Daniels tapped to direct) to create this as a film, could be an interesting book to watch. Most of the time media deals told in advance don’t help speculation.
Decorum #1 is out from Image Comics next week and is already being limited at Midtown to 1 per customer.
From the mind of Jonathan Hickman and art by Mike Huddleston, here’s an advanced extended 16 page sneak peek.

You really give creators due credit when they not only write but draw and color their own stories. That’s exactly what Mirka Andolfo does and after getting an advanced review of this weeks new Mercy #1 hitting shelves, I’m hooked.

So Sex Criminals is back and is finally finishing off it’s story with it’s last remaining story arc.
