The all ages graphic novel Cow Boy by Nate Crosby and Chris Eliopoulos is heading to TV according to Comicbook.com
Nate Cosby and Chris Eliopoulos’ BOOM! Studios graphic novel Cow Boy has been optioned by DreamWorks Animation for a new TV series, TheWrap reports.
The animated series is set to be written and produced by Brandon Hay, who was the showrunner on the Netflix/DreamWorks TV series based on their hit film The Croods. Given that film and Turbo both headed to Netflix under the DreamWorks banner, it seems likely that Cow Boy will land there, too.
Eliopoulos, artist of Brad Meltzer’s best-selling Ordinary People Change the World series of kids’ nonfiction books, is a veteran comics writer, artist and letterer with credits like Franklin Richards: Son of a Genius, Desperate Times, Civil War and Savage Dragon.
Cosby has served as a writer and editor for a variety of publishers, including BOOM!, Marvel and the Gold Key imprint at Dynamite Entertainment.
Cow Boy centers on a ten-year-old bounty hunter determined to bring his family of outlaws to jail.
Cow Boy first appears in Graphic Novel form in the June 2012 Cow Boy: A Boy and His Horse but later that year appeared in comic book form in the Halloween Comic-fest Cow Boy Hallows #1.
Something to keep an eye on, especially the Halloween Comic-Fest comic.
