Bleeding Cool's Speculators’ Corner: Gotham And Harvey Bullock

Bleeding Cool ran this tonight, of course, we covered it back in March here and here.

The first episode of Gotham airs tonight. Everyone at Bleeding Cool has seen it, and I think it’s great. Mad as a bucket of badgers, closer in tone to Luthor in that respect, but most entertaining.
And while most viewers will be familiar with Batman, Catwoman, the Penguin, even James Gordon, for most – if they didn’t watch the cartoon – Harvey Bullock will be a brand new discovery.

He first appeared in the Batman comics back in 1974, namely Detective Comics #441, by Archie Goodwin and Howard Chaykin. I guess it must go for a pretty penny?
Not really.
At a peak, $38 for a VF+ copy but you can get a VG copy for less that five dollars. But with Constantine and iZombie prices rocketing, it might be worth checking a few back issue bins to see what you can find….
Of course what DC Comics really want you to buy are the collections of Gotham Central and the collected Gordon Of Gotham, GCPD, Gordon’s Law…. but you never know. If you can pick up enough copies of this comic cheap, you might be able to flip them and buy the collections!
The price of comics can, of course, go down as well as up. And usually do.

Diamond Comics Advanced Reorder List for 9/21/14

The Diamond Comics Advanced Reorder List is a great speculator tool. It shows what books the retailers are going back and ordering before the final order cut off. These are the hot new series everyone is talking about, the reprints of recent sold out books (gives you a cue to what to search for in your LCS), the second issues to a recent hot book, or just what people are coming in asking about. This chart is styled like the old classic Wizard Magazine Top 10 Hottest Comic charts that were published every month in the 1990′s.
This list is updated every 2 weeks. This list is compiled from my non-stop research of the current market. I believe these were the most demand and growing in value books this month. This list focuses on all regular edition covers. (Variants are not listed otherwise they would likely dominate the entire list due to instant high prices and calculated small print runs). If you think I have missed any hot MODERN titles/issues please let me know. Here are my picks of what I believe are the hottest comics at this very moment from all sold out releases of MODERN comics online based on back issue sales ABOVE cover price.
