A Diamond Contradiction – What’s Going On Over At Diamond?

So a few days ago, after DC already announced they were proceeding with new distributors besides Diamond to start pushing comics out to retailers, Diamond sent a followup to retailers claiming basically a don’t worry, orders already placed will be fulfilled type of email.

Yet, now it appears almost everything in the FOC monthly at Diamond for DC has vanished.

DC Shipping Again – Upcoming Books Preview

So DC is shipping again, bypassing Diamond. Some are happy about this while others are crying foul. Regardless of the politics behind it all, here at CHU we talk about new books, so that’s what we’re gonna do.

So please leave the politics out and just talk about the books that might be hitting a few store shelves (which most will be fulfilled by online sales and or curbside pickup to start off with most shops who are actually getting these books).

Jim Lee Sketches for Binc Charity – Updates

Anyone else watching the sketches Jim Lee has been listing for charity? I have since there’s no new comics hitting the shelves for now.

I just want to also start off, Anthony gave me my own CHU login to write and publish articles back in October of 2017, this is now my 1,000 article under my own login. It also marks the 315 day straight that I have posted an article here on CHU. I know, I’m patting myself on the back a little but you know, someone has to do it..

Poyo’s Top Ten List – Because You (BlindAdam) Demanded It

Alright, let’s see if I can’t give a top ten list for comics without any automated system pulling and extracting the data for me. Just the good ‘ol fashion way of browsing eBay completed sales (because I looked at the eBay API and that’s just something I have zero desire to learn at the moment).

I’m not sure if this is going to be a weekly thing, it’s very time consuming but I found some spare time on this rainy Saturday afternoon.

Poyo’s Trade and Hardcover Picks of the Week – Omnibus Quarantine Edition

We shouldn’t just collect or flip books, we should also read them. A good story can make your purchase well worth the money spent if you ask me. After all, we buy books to read for entertainment right? Even if you can’t flip them, reading is just as rewarding (particularly in our current scenario).

This is the Stay at Home Quarantine Omnibus Edition.

Virtual Fan Expo Launching as an Inclusive Con Experience for Pop Culture Fans Searching for Community and Fun

Not sure how I feel about this myself as I’m not big on virtual reality but under the circumstances, this is one way to enjoy the convention going experience without actually going to the conventions.

Lockdown Reading List for Sunday April 5th, 2020

Spoilers: Batman #93 – Who Is The Designer?

Is anyone having CHU spoiler withdrawal symptoms? Didn’t realize how much I miss them myself. Maybe some quick spoilers will help cheer you up since all new comic news sort of ceased since the COVID-19 shutdowns of businesses.

So I’ve spoiled the Harley vs Punchline pages from Batman #93 a couple of weeks back. By now we were suppose to have Batman #92 in our hands but due to the Diamond shutdown and current government lockdowns, who’s to know when these will reach the masses.

Regardless, here’s the few panes where we learn the true identity of new guy that calls himself The Designer that was waiting for Batman in his own study in Wayne Manor at the end of Batman #92 that was spoiled a few weeks back as well.

Continue to see the unseen spoilers now..
