Welcome once again to the another installment of the One Week Later Report. This week we’ll cover the books released on 2/13/2019.
The best day is upon us once again, new comic book day. We spec, we buy, we flip, we read. Whatever it is you do with your comics, Wednesdays are what we look forward to each week, along with the fabulous CHU Tuesday nights.
Let’s make Monday MARVELous by journeying back to 1972, where we point the spotlight on Ghost Rider.
It’s that time again, where I tell you what’s really grinding my gears for the week of February 20th, 2019.
Some weeks it’s mostly likes, other weeks it’s dislikes.
So what’s grinding my gears this week?
Here’s a book to be on the look out for. GI Joe Sierra Muerte #1 Mychaels is selling upwards of the $100 range and most of the listings now are all over $100 range, with only 3 found listings from my searches on eBay.
It was mentioned a week or so ago about Midtown’s upcoming February signings. It looks like the first book has hit their shelves for pre-order for next week.
Last week we visited the year 1991. Now we go back 20 more years to 1971 where the world was introduced to a new DC character by one of the most known comic book artists and creators, Mr. Jack Kirby.
Middlewest #2 (3rd Printing) by Eisner Award-winning and New York Times bestselling creator Skottie Young (I Hate Fairyland, Bully Wars, Deadpool) and Russ Manning Award winning artist Jorge Corona continues to fly off shelves and fan enthusiasm for the series builds. Image Comics has greenlit the Middlewest #2 for a third printing. This third printing cover will feature new artwork by Jorge Corona.
Image Comics is pleased to announce that New York Times bestselling creator Kieron Gillen (The Wicked + The Divine) and artist Stephanie Hans’ Die #2 and Die #3 will both be rushed back to print in order to keep up with growing demand for the series.
Khary Randolph (We Are Robin, Black, Tech Jacket) and Brandon Thomas (Horizon, The Many Adventures of Miranda Mercury, Noble) ignite a generational war in an all-new, action-fantasy series—Excellence—launching from Image/Skybound Entertainment this May. This new series features a creative team comprised entirely of creators of color.
Welcome once again to the another installment of the One Week Later Report. This week we’ll cover the books released on 2/6/2019.
I absolutely love independent comics and books. The creative minds from the creators seems more genuine story telling and artwork, without some editor or publisher pulling the puppet strings from above.
Its that time again. We pick this weeks winners for new comic book day, the best day of the week.
Might be old news but apparently HULU is in the process of teaming up with Marvel to create 4 new animated series.
Similar to the Throwback Thursdays I’ve been doing lately, I wanted to do something else fun each week.
I give you MARVELous Monday. Each week where I pick a random Silver or Bronze age Marvel book to highlight after I’ve read it, sort of a flash back to Marvel books.
