It’s a new month for new comics. We just witnessed Avengers Endgame making record breaking movie debut with a whole lot of excitement surrounding scenes they used from past comic books in the movie, causing some books to catch some heat.
One year ago, we spec’d on new books hitting the shelves. Now it’s time to see how those specs and picks are doing now.
This throwback we go way back, back to 1939. The time when super heroes were just taking off with Superman heading the way, the hero of the skies but what about the sea? You might be thinking Aquaman but he didn’t show up on the scene until 1941.
So in order to spare people from reading any spoilers from the Avengers Endgame movie (Thanks BJ for the idea), this post is setup and intended for sharing spoilers, speculation on books from the movie, etc.
So if you don’t want to see, read or hear about any movie spoilers, just avoid this post and maybe turn off/ignore notifications until you see the movie if you get them via email (for those that get email notifications on comments).

Welcome again to Flashback Friday. We take a peek of what we were spec’ing on and talking about a year ago.
I hope you all are enjoying these Throwback Thursdays so far. I know I am, as it’s a great way to revisit the past and learn some things that were either forgotten or not known with the rich comic book history we are now living in.
The focus for now is first appearances which I’m hoping to evolve into throwbacks to story lines and other prominent occurrences.
This is for all you dead heads..
