It’s the last week of March and although the first two weeks were a bit slower than most, last week and this week look promising.

Miss out on some comics? Did they sell out too quickly online or you couldn’t find them at your local shops? Well, here’s your back in stock alert.
Welcome again to MARVELous Monday, the day I share a random Silver and or Bronze age Marvel book I read to try and spice up our boring Mondays.
Sorry for the late post, I didn’t get a chance to sit down to pick a book at random and read until this early evening.
I wasn’t a huge fan of Coyotes or Saints but The Few was a great read. Here’s the new press release for this new Image Series.

It’s that time again, where I tell you what’s really grinding my gears for the week of March 27th, 2019.
Some weeks it’s mostly likes, other weeks it’s dislikes.
So what’s grinding my gears this week?

With these reviews, we find out how right or how wrong we were, what we missed and what you can likely still find at cover price, likely at the local comic shop or at online retailers.
Welcome again to Flashback Friday. We take a peek of what we were spec’ing on and talking about a year ago.
It’s not always media options that make books hot and in demand. Good stories help as well and that’s exactly why we’re seeing a 5th printing apparently for the hit series DIE from Image Comics.
This Throwback Thursday I wrote up way before I mentioned this next character that entered our lives way back in March of 1966. Another great character from the mind of the great Jack Kirby. That character is none other than, the Silver Surfer.
You likely saw the preview of the Swamp Romp Special for Rat Queens. Let’s take a look at issue #16 that continues the ongoing series with the new creative team taking reigns of this Image title.

I do believe this series was returnable. So a second printing on the way is a good indication that this new series is doing well with possible potential. I haven’t had a chance to read it myself but was looking forward to it.
Unless of course Image is back to it’s old ways of claiming every book is getting a second print due to demand. Let’s hope that’s not the case.
You can still fine first prints available at TFAW and other retailers.

Once upon a time, Rat Queens was an awesome Image title that had a lot of promise. Then we lost Roc as the artist. Then Wiebe went and Wieb’ed himself on his own title.
Maybe now Rat Queens has a fighting chance with a new creative team behind it.

We spec, I drek and sometimes I’m actually right on both. That’s the game when it comes to spec’ing. So we dive into another week of the comic book world that is like Christmas in the middle of the week.

Last week we left off at the end of the Amazing Spider-Man issue #66, the Madness of Mysterio where Mysterio has shrunk Spider-Man to just 6 inches in size so he can squash him in revenge.
So if your new and confused, you’ll have to read last weeks MARVELous Monday to catch up for this weeks.

If you missed out on some of the more recent books that sold out quickly online and or were missed at the local shops, here’s another chance at some of the books that sold out but are now available once again.
Lazarus written by Greg Rucka and from Image Comics was optioned with a media deal. This week Lazarus Risen which is the next story arc and volume is hitting our local store shelves.

I really do miss Shawn B’s One Year Later reports. So let’s try and bring these back in a sense. At least it’ll be fun to see what we were talking about a year ago at this time and what those books are doing now, one year later.
Welcome to the first Flashback Friday.
This Thursday we go back to the early days of the X-Men. It’s hard to imagine these next two characters were introduced so early on, since we’ve now been accustomed to seeing them alongside the Avengers lately.
Welcome once again to the another installment of the One Week Later Report. This week we’ll cover the books released on 3/6/2019.
