Indie books are great. They’re great to read and it allows the creators to really express themselves as both writer and artist.
As a indie book lover, I haven’t done an Independent Previews Spotlight in quite some time. This is where I share independent books that are coming soon to a comic shop near you that are on my radar.

We have the big two, we have the indies and then there’s the in-between. The publishers who are not necessarily small but still have a small market share from the big publishers.
We’ve already covered the Indie, DC and Marvel. Let’s take a peek at what’s coming for all the remaining publishers for July Previews.
In the past we always tend to focus on the Killer B books for these upcoming DC books. I figured it’s time we expand into all of DC’s forthcoming titles and covers.
Let’s continue that trip down memory lane for 2018, the middle of last year, covering the months from May through August.
We saw a pretty solid month for October 2018. It was a big month so I’m splitting it up into two parts. So welcome once again to the monthly review where we check the status of all the weekly picks and books we covered from the previous month.
Last month we saw a pretty solid month for August 2018. I think September was even better for the speculative market. It doesn’t get any better when we saw Batman’s junk for the first time ever, which was probably the highlight of the month
From the creative team behind Marvel’s Power Man and Iron Fist brings forth the Sangerye Family who must save humanity in Bitter Root in this new ongoing series from Image Comics.
It felt like August came and left us in a hurry despite it’s 5 Wednesdays. I can’t even recall most of the books that came out without looking them up. Maybe it’s that 5th Wednesday that pushed the number of books in August or I’m just getting old with a poor memory now.
This past July we saw Batman get married, well, almost married since he got stood up at the alter. We saw some more Marvel reboots and #1 books along with some great new independent and small publisher books. So here’s July 2018 in review.

The March edition of Diamond Comic Distributors’ monthly PREVIEWS catalog arrives in comic shops on February 28th and features comic books, graphic novels, toys, and other pop culture merchandise scheduled to go on sale beginning May 2018.
We’re all here for one thing and that’s comics. We have the super hero comics from DC and Marvel that really got this industry going but independent books, I think, really allows writers and artists to flex their talent to bring forth new content to keep us entertained.
